XERF
Firmer Skin Without Surgery
XERF uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin in a controlled, precise way. That heat does two things at once. It causes existing collagen fibers to contract immediately, which gives you a subtle tightening you can feel right away, and it signals your body to produce new collagen and elastin over the weeks that follow. The second effect is where the real change comes from.
At June Medical, Dr. Vanessa Vélez Martínez uses XERF for patients who notice their skin has lost some of its firmness but are not ready for anything surgical. It works beautifully along the jawline and neck, where laxity tends to show first, and it is equally effective on the abdomen, arms, and other areas of the body.

The Treatment Experience
Most people are surprised by how comfortable this treatment is. The handpiece glides across the skin with a warming sensation that many patients compare to a hot stone massage. There are no needles and no numbing required. A session generally runs twenty to forty-five minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
You can go straight back to work, the gym, or anywhere else afterward. Some patients notice mild redness that fades within an hour. Because collagen builds gradually, results appear over the course of two to three months, and most people do a series of four to six sessions spaced about a week or two apart to get the full benefit.
What XERF radiofrequency brings to your treatment plan.

How many XERF sessions will I need?
Most patients do two sessions, 4-6 weeks apart, to achieve meaningful results. For maintenance, it's recommended to repeat every 6 months or once a year.
When will I notice the tightening?
There is often a subtle immediate effect from collagen contraction, but the real change comes from new collagen forming over eight to twelve weeks. Results continue to improve for a few months after your final session.
Is XERF safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. Radiofrequency energy targets water in the tissue rather than pigment, so it does not carry the risk of pigment changes that some light-based treatments do. That makes it a good option across all skin types.
How long do the results last?
The new collagen you build is real and lasts, though your skin continues to age normally after treatment. Many patients come in for a maintenance session once or twice a year to hold onto what they gained.
